Shopping Malls
Manage large crowds and public safety. Mall security systems featuring centralized monitoring and parking surveillance.
Security Solutions for Shopping Malls
Shopping centers and malls are complex ecosystems that must remain open and inviting to the public while simultaneously hardening themselves against a wide array of threats. From organized retail crime rings sweeping through high-end stores to vehicle break-ins in the parking structures, the security challenges are diverse. Sewak Security provides a unified security platform that covers every square foot of your property. Our high-definition PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras patrol food courts and corridors, allowing security teams to track suspicious individuals across the entire facility. In the parking lots, we deploy License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to flag known offenders or banned vehicles the moment they enter the premises, alerting security before a crime occurs. We also integrate emergency assistance stations (blue light phones) to ensure shopper safety during late hours. By creating a visible and responsive security presence, we help you maintain tenant confidence, reduce liability from slips and falls, and ensure that your mall remains a preferred destination for families and shoppers.
Common Threats
Organized Retail Crime (ORC)
Malls are significantly impacted by coordinated theft rings that hit multiple stores in quick succession. These groups move fast and can cause thousands of dollars in losses before security can physically respond.
Parking Lot Liability
The vast parking structures of shopping centers are hotspots for vehicle break-ins and personal safety concerns. Inadequate monitoring here leads to customer complaints and potential lawsuits if a patron feels unsafe or is victimized.
The Security Fix
Proactive PTZ Surveillance
We deploy high-powered Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras that can cover large food courts and corridors. Security teams can actively track suspicious individuals from camera to camera, coordinating with floor guards to intercept them before they leave the property.
License Plate Recognition (LPR)
LPR cameras at entry points can scan against a database of known offenders or banned vehicles. When a match is found, security is alerted instantly, allowing them to monitor the individual's arrival rather than reacting after a crime occurs.
